Prepare the Taglierini pasta according to the package instructions. Add the tablespoon of chicken broth to the water for more flavor
In a hot skillet, add the olive oil and butter until well combined.
Add the onion and cook until it begins to brown.
Add the ham to release its juices, then add the tablespoons of heavy cream.
Once the heavy cream is well integrated with the ham, incorporate the diced white cheddar cheese to begin melting. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
Remove the pasta from the pot, without draining it too much. You can use metal tongs. The idea is for the pasta starch to help the sauce adhere well. Pour the pasta into the skillet with the sauce and mix to ensure all ingredients are integrated.
Serve and garnish with a few basil leaves.
